I took lots of photographs of the cast member in directions for my digipak and magazine advert, but it mainly consisted of close ups and mid shots, as this is what I wanted to use on my ancillary texts. I dressed her in a ragged brown coat to produce the stereotype of a tramp or homeless, as supported within the theorist Tessa Perkins. I also ensured that her facial expressions were sad and upset in order to produce the right connotations. To add to this representation of her being a tramp, I added make up to make it look as if her face was dirty, I also made sure that her hair was knotty and messy.
Although, on some of the photographs the top of her head was cut off, or she was looking away for example. But, I was taking photographs continuously to ensure I captured the right one. I like the photographs of her looking directly into the camera, as I think it adds the connotation of a personal connection between the artist and the audience.
